• Activities

Kids need positive activities such as after-school programs, field trips and special events that recognize and reward achievement to stay focused, engaged, and excited about school.

  • Arts

The arts, whether it be traditional art classes, theatre, music or broadcast help develop creativity as well as problem-solving and social skills.

  • Athletics

Being on a team and regularly practicing sports helps develop good work habits that will carry over into other aspects of life. The Coos Bay School Community Foundation supports athletic programs.

  • Academics

The Coos Bay Schools Community Foundation offers grants to district teaching professionals for programs and supplies that will enhance and enrich our kids’ academic experience.

What We Do

The Coos Bay Schools Community Foundation is served by a Board who manages donor contributions made to the foundation in support of staff requests for funding to finance their projects and needs. The funding is granted to projects that support one of the four areas of the CBSCF mission: Arts, Academics, Activities, and Athletics.

"The mission of the Coos Bay Schools Community Foundation is to promote programs for the arts, academics, activities, and athletics."

Make a Difference!

Sometimes it seems like one person's small gift can't help. Our community is different. We have always been great at pooling together our resources to make real changes in people's lives. That is what this foundation is all about: coming together to improve our schools, to help our children have amazing experiences and boundless opportunities. You can make that happen!

Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better.
It’s not." ~ Dr. Seuss

Thinking about our generous donors today and feeling grateful the Coos Bay Schools Foundation is able to get "a whole awful lot" done in making things better for Coos Bay schools. We are humbled by your generosity. Because of YOU, we can award grant opportunities that open doors and enrich the lives of children. We are so appreciative of our donors who are ensuring it "is going to get better." It IS. - Nancy Tedder, President
